A custom made dog sympathy card

Hello, my crafty friends! I know it's been a while, but I have so much to share with you! I was busy all summer making projects for a booth at our local fair that was held on Labor Day weekend and just didn't have the time to post them. I also have been working with a web designer in creating my own website with an online store called Imagination Attic! I am so excited about it, it launched just before the fair was held. I am still putting some final touches on it and adding products to the store, but it is up and ready for shopping! Okay on with the project that I am sharing with you today! I got a message from a friend a couple of weeks ago asking if I could make her a card that had this poem on it, they had just taken her husband’s service dog to the vet and sadly it had to be put down. I got to work right away, I pretty much just copied the photo that she sent me-pictured below. Here is what I came up with from the above photo:
I used my Cricut to write the poem, stamped a cute dog stamp I have from Stampin’ Up with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored it with Prismacolor pencils. I die cut the panel with Lawn Fawn outside in stitched rectangle dies and used a piercing tool to add a line of holes/dots between each line of the poem, used tea dye distress ink from Tim Holtz around the edges of the panel then mounted the panel onto some green cardstock that matches the color of their dog’s collar, it was also distressed on the edges but with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink

It came together pretty quick, it just took me a while to get it posted! Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope I gave you some inspiration for your next project! Happy Crafting!
