Baby Boy Card #1

Hello everyone, and a big hello to my new followers.  Welcome to my blog.
I am going to be making a number of baby cards; Mostly boy ones.  I have a few friends who are going to be having a baby boy soon and wanted to get started on their cards.
With these cards I am trying to use some of my older paper and stickers, embellishments, things like that.  I really need to use up all of the stuff I have.  I will probably still use my cricut for some of the cards, but I am really  trying use all the other old things.

This is card number one.  I will post the cards as I finish them.

I used some old patterned paper that I found, and ended up using my cricut for the bottle.  It was on the Doodlecharms cart.  The ribbon is from my stash and I used a border punch from fiskars.  Hope you like it, comments are welcome!

Relief Society Project

Hey everyone,  I finally have a little bit of time to put up this quick post.

One of the projects I was recently in charge of was doing the invitation for our Relief Society Birthday dinner.  The theme was Old Nauvoo.  I did the invitation first.  Hope you like it.  I used the PDDU cart for the covered wagon, and for the tag/label I used the Once upon a Princess cart.  I used brown chalk for most of the distressing.

They wanted me to do some little things to go on the tables with the centerpieces.  I used the covered wagon again only smaller and distressed it just like the invitation.

On a dessert table they wanted me to make their little annoucements "cute".   So this is what I came up with based on what they said.  The first one talks about homemade gingerbread cookies they used to make in pioneer times.  Once again I used the PDDU cart for the gingerbread, and distressed it.

The other one talked about how the pioneer women cooked and baked bread.  I just had to make this cute little pioneer woman from, you guessed it, PDDU.  I thought she turned out so cute with her little mixing bowl and spoon.

The dinner was nice and the company was great.  It was nice to have a night with my husband, away from home. I'm sure many of you feel the same way sometimes.
Well, I will see you soon.  Thanks for visiting.

MPS Blog Hop

Hello everyone, long time no see.  I am sorry it has been so long.  All of my good intentions of posting all the time got put on hold from some big projects I was put in charge of doing; and I am still trying to get over a cold too.

I was able to quickly put together this card for the Blog hop over on My Pink Stamper.  The challenge was to make something with spring colors or your interpretation of spring.  Well, when I think of spring I think of flowers and butterflies. I really like how this card turned out.  You could use it for a number of different things; a birthday, thinking of you, thank you, etc.  I think I am going to use it for a mother's day card.

The whole card was made using my scraps so I don't know where I got the paper from, except the printed flower paper is from a DCWV paper stack.  I used stickles on the butterfly; it came from the gypsy wanderings cart, and the flowers are from the plantin schoolbook cart.  I just used basic white brads for the centers of the flowers and popped up the flowers with pop dots.

Hope you enjoy it.  C-ya tomorrow!
Thank you for stopping by, taking a peek, and leaving a comment or two!
