School Pages

Good Day everyone,

I wanted to show you some pages I did for my girls.  I started this with my oldest when she started school.  It is a book about each grade, that shows their personalities at that age and what they like, who their friends are, what their favorite subject is, stuff like that.  On the page we also record how tall they are, how much they weigh, and what they want to be when they grow up.  It is really fun to do and to look back and see what they were like.
I let my girls pick out the colors, the design, what paper they want to use, but I put it together and make it. When it is done, they fill in all the answers so that it is in their handwriting.

For my oldest daughter's page she picked out these bright bold colors and I used a Stampin' Up stamp, and ink pads, to do the line pattern on the bottom of the page and to shade in the peace sign.  I used the George cart for the flower and the peace sign.  I used an exacto knife to cut out the inside of the circle to make a peace sign. (I really want and need the groovy times cart; my daughter is into all that kind of stuff.)  The title was actually made on the computer.  I cut out the 6 on orange paper, popped it up and used orange stickles for the sparkle.

My 5 year old wanted to use stamps for her page, with pink and purple.  All of the stamps and inks are Stampin' Up.  I stamped around the page with hearts and flowers.  I shaded the edge of the page with pink and purple chalk to soften it up.  The black dot in the little flowers is actually stickles.  I thought the wire through the letters was really cute.  She likes her page, and thinks it is soo cute.

I made these at 8.5 by 11.   That way I can print out right on the page all the questions, and I have room for the 2 pictures.  The one is the first picture at the beginning of school and the second is in the spring at the end of school.  I put their class picture behind it in the sheet protector.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy!

Wedding Layouts

Good day all,  I was going to post pics of some cute pages I did for my two girls, but my camera died when I went to take pictures of the pages.  So after my camera charges and I get the pics I will share them with you.  In the mean time I will share something else.

Here are some layouts I did for a wedding album.  The first picture is both pages together and I took a picture of each page separately.

For this layout I used Stampin Up' roller stamp and embossed it with silver powder.  The flowers are prima, the cardstock is, I think, Bazzill.  I just used silver brads in the center of the flowers, and the patterned paper is no longer available.

This next layout was made using the same Bazzill cardstock the patterned paper is from the same company as above and no longer available.  I'm not sure where the ribbon came from but it is super cute, the green flower is actually a chipboard flower that I covered in cardstock and added a brad in the center.

I hope you enjoy these layouts, they were really fun to make.  Let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by.  You're Great!

Graduation Card

Hi all,  well I have had a busy week.  My parents have been here to help us put in a sprinkler system YAY!!  I am so grateful for their help.  While they were here I taught my mom how to use her cricut.  She is excited to go home now and complete some really cute projects.  I can't wait to see them.

Here is a card I did while they were here.  It is a graduation card for one of the young women who I have coached in the past.  She is such a cute girl.  I made the card with our school colors.

All the paper is just simple cardstock.  I used my cuttlebug on the red paper and I cut the graduation cap from the Locker Talk cart.  The ribbon is some that I had and I used silver stickles on the tassel.  I also inked the edges of the cap with some black ink from Stampin' Up.

Simple and Sweet!  Hope you like it,  Let me know!

Ruff, Ruff

Good day everyone, just a quick post, I have a lot to do today.

Can you believe I am still trying to finish all the projects from National Scrapbook Day.  My little 10 month old just doesn't give me that much time, plus there are the other responsibilities of cleaning and just being a mom.

I managed to do Challenge #10 yesterday and I am finally posting it today.  The challenge was to make a scrapbook page or card with a pet in it.  Well, I decided to make a layout for our dog Onyx.

I used the Doodlecharms, Mickey and friends, and Plantin Schoolbook carts for this layout.  The shading was with Stampin' Up and the paper is from a company that doesn't exist anymore.  Pretty simple, I hope you like it and thank you for stopping by my blog.

NSD Challenge #9

For this challenge using glitz, glam and glitter I went for a softer look instead of a bold flashy look that I was thinking of at first.
The picture didn't turn out right.  The card is actually supposed to be turned the other way. (vertical)

The purple color is really pretty against the white and silver.  I used prima flowers, a little bling, some stickles, and paper from my stash.  It was pretty easy and fast to do, but I like the results, I hope you do too!  Thanks for stopping by.

I have to say this has been really fun to do and it really is a challenge to get all of these things done in the amount of time given.  To see more visit Robyn over at My Pink Stamper.

NSD Challenge #8

For this challenge we had to make a summer themed project.  I didn't have that much time to do this one.  I wanted to do a scrapbook page but ended up doing this instead:

I used Doodlecharms cart for the popsicle.  The sentiment is some old alphabet stickers that I found and I used stickles on the popsicle.  Not my best work, but it will have to do.

Have some fun with us over at My Pink Stamper and join in on some of the challenges.

Thanks for stopping by.

NSD Challenge #7

We had to make a scrapbook page with this challenge.  Here's mine.

I used Gypsy Wanderings and Home Decor carts.  The ink for shading was Colorbox and Stampin' Up. That's really all there is to it.  pretty simple. Thanks for looking.

NSD Challenge #6

Here is what I came up with for this challenge:  Incorporate a tag into your project.  I just made a simple card.  With not having that much time I have to keep things as simple as I can.

This is a 4x4 card. The paper is basic cardstock you can get anywhere, the flower is a prima flower, I used Stampin' Up and Colorbox ink for the shading, the divine swirls folder with the cuttlebug, added a little glitter and a brad, oh and the ribbon is just some I had.

I figure this card could be used for anything to do with girls so I didn't put a sentiment on it until I figure out what I will use it for.

NSD Challenge #5

I finally had a chance to do more with all the challenges.  She is keeping it open until tonight so it is not too late to enter some of the challenges. Just go to www.mypinkstamper.com and join us in some great challenges and giveaways.

On to the challenge, make a 3-D project.  I ended up making a cute little bag from Once upon a Princess.  I am going to use it for a little thank you gift.

I hope you like it!  Thanks for taking a peek.

NSD Challenge #4

This challenge was fairly easy.  I already new the colors and paper that I wanted to use so it came together pretty quick.  We had to make something with a Mother's day theme, of course. I like this card and I'm sure my mother in law will too.

All the paper is just from my stash.  The scallop circle I believe is from the Gypsy wanderings cart. and the sentiment is from an older Stampin' Up line. All ink is Stampin' Up. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border, and of course added a little bling to the middle of the flower.

I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

NSD Challenge #3

Well, I started this one pretty good on time and then I had to stop in the middle of it to eat.

This challenge is to make something with a breast cancer awareness theme to it.  I have to admit it was a little challenging, I don't have any carts or stamps that are the ribbon symbol.  I ended up using the Gypsy Wanderings phrase HOPE.   I of course used pink, but in the end I am not too thrilled with how it turned out.  I hope you like it though.

I used a fiskars punch for the border.  Ink from Stampin' Up, and the paper and ribbon are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by.  Head on over to www.mypinkstamper.com to see more great ideas using this theme.

NSD Challenge #2

Good day everyone!  For the first challenge I actually finished it last night but it was so late I didn't get it published until today.  I have just finished the 2nd challenge and it was to make something using craft cardstock.  I ended up making  a Father's day card for my dad.  He is a big Golfer. So here is what I came up with.

I used the sports mania for the golf frame, and all the paper is actually scraps.  I inked it with Stampin' Up inks with my Chizzle It to give it a softer look.  The colors remind me of my dad. I think he will like it.  I kept it really simple and I hand wrote my sentiment with a brown marker.

I hope you like it.  To get more ideas and join the challenge check out Robyn's Blog!

National Scrapbook Day Challenge #1

Happy Mother's Day everyone!  I hope all of you had a great weekend.

I was not really able to play along live with National Scrapbook Day like I wanted.  I was coaching and attending soccer games for my kids.  So, I got a really late start last night.

I am participating in NSD over at My Pink Stamper, she has so many fun challenges and great giveaways, you should play along if you're not already.  The first challenge is Cupcake Crazy (make anything cupcake).  It could be a card, layout, 3D object anything.  I actually made a layout!  I really like how it turned out.  The colors really pop!  I will be using this layout for my son's 1st Birthday that is coming up in July!

Can you believe I used Once upon a Princess cart for a boy page!  It was a lot of fun.  The dot paper is Doodlebug, and all the other cardstock is just what I have I don't remember where I got it.  I used Stampin' Up ink for all the shading.  Hope you like it, and thanks for taking a look!

Birthday Bag for Leslie

Hello everyone,  here is another birthday bag.  This one is for Leslie she is a sweet girl full of fun.  Her favorite color is black, but based on her personality I added the other colors.

The box is from TBBM, the party hat is Simply Charmed with some stickles and pop dots.  I used a Stampin up stamp and embossed it with clear.  The paper is, I believe, doodlebug.  The ribbon is just what I have, I couldn't get the bow to tie right so it looks a little funky.

I have some mother's day and teacher appreciation projects in the works.  I will try and post them as they get finished.  Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday's Everywhere!

Hello all, I hope everyone is having a great day.  I wanted to do this quick post to show you some of the fun birthday bags I have been making for the girls on our soccer team.  They love them, and each of the girls are looking forward to getting theirs for their birthday.

I enjoy making them.  Each one is different. Made especially for the girl and her personality. (and her favorite color)

Tiffany's favorite is obviously purple. I used TBBM, Once upon a princess carts, a stamp from Stampin' Up and also the ink, a white gel pen, ribbon, and stickles.

Sierra loves red, and is a fun energetic girl.  Her box is from Plantin Schoolbook.  The party horn is Simply Charmed, ink and stamp from Stampin' Up, and of course stickles.

Kenzie is a cute girl who loves the color green.  Her box is Once upon a princess.  I found this sticker and added some stickles to it and popped it up with a pop dot. I also used the Happy Birthday folder with my Cuttlebug and rubbed orange ink across it.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The ink is Stampin' Up.

I hope you all enjoy and have a creative day!
Thank you for stopping by, taking a peek, and leaving a comment or two!
