Trinity's Turkey!

I have to share with you today a little project for my 2nd grader.  She brought home a paper with a picture of a turkey dinner on it.  We were supposed to sit down and decorate it together as a family and we had to think outside the box.  This is what we came up with, Trinity was so proud of her picture.

I let her use a lot of my craft supplies, which she was very excited about since I don't usually let my kids touch them.  We used beans to outline the turkey, rice on the bones, a red gem for the cherry or tomato on the top of the turkey, we used yellow stickles on the pineapple ring and the butter on the baked potatoes, the baked potatoes we glued some ground coriander onto, Trinity used some yellow chalk and colored what she said was corn, orange strips of paper were glued on for the carrots, and then some green stickles for the peas.  We used some black chalk for the platter.  We made kind-of a frame around it with a black marker and some different colored eyelets.  I pulled out some old alphabet stickers for her to use for her name on the top.

Thanks for visiting today, let me know what you think, I know Trinity would love to read your comments!

A "Merry" Christmas card!

I don't know where the time goes, I have every intention of posting quite often but it just doesn't happen that way.  I hope to get to the point where I can post a lot but until then I will do it when I can fit it in.  Soccer season is over so I might have a little bit of extra time, I still have to make a Birthday Cake Box for some of my soccer girls so I will post those when I complete them.  Well, on to my project.

The schedule for card swap is in October and November we make a Christmas card and in December we make some gift tags.  With my tardiness here is my card for Oct. I ended up making some with a red background and some with green.

I used the gypsy wanderings cartridge
stamps from Stampin Up
red embossing powder from Ranger
a versamark pad
I don't have any twine yet so I just used some embroidery floss

Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you will continue to visit.
Let me know what you think of my projects and if there is something you would like to see on my blog.

More Punny-licious Birhday cards!

I realized I need to catch up on showing you guys cards that I have made for my card swap.  The one I will show you today is when we had to make a birthday card.  I wanted to use the More Punny-licious stamp set from My Pink Stamper, I couldn't decide between using "Hippo Birthday" or "Snappy Birthday" so I ended up doing both.  I really like how each of them turned out too.  I used the same basic layout for each card but changed the colors and paper.

For the "Hippo Birthday" card I used Create a Critter for my hippo, ribbon and ink from Stampin Up, Stickles, Patterned paper from Imaginisce, my Cuttelbug-swiss dots folder, and the stamp from MPS-More Punnylicious stamp set.

For my "Snappy Birthday" card I used the turtle from Create a Critter cartridge, paper from SEI, ribbon from my stash, Cuttlebug-swiss dots folder, ink from Stampin Up, stamp from MPS-More Punnylicious stamp set; I used some clear embossing powder from Stampendous to bring out the watermark effect a little more.

I hope you all like what you see and are inspired to create something for someone else.
Thank you for taking a look and let me know what you think.

I'm so "FANGFUL" for you!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!  I love this holiday.  Today I am going to share with you some of the goodie bags I made for my daughter's 2nd grade class, and some that I made for my soccer team.  There is a lot of them so I will only share a little bit, I don't want to have a super long post.

For the 2nd grader's my daughter picked out the colors, the "fangful" stamp, and the bat.  I was surprised at what she wanted, for being only 7 years old, but they turned out pretty good.

I used the Happy Hauntings & Gypsy Wanderings cartridges and the Martha Stewart drippy-goo punch, Stampin Up ink and MPS-Spookalicious stamp set.

Here are some of the 15 bags I made for the soccer team.  I had fun making these for all of my girls, and they had fun looking at them and trying to figure out which one they wanted.

I used the Mini-Monsters cartridge, Halloween paper from K&Company and Creative Imaginations, Stampin Up ink, a white gel pen, brads, all stamps from the MPS-Spookalicious stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I wish you all a Happy Halloween!

Turquoise Birthday Box for Ngaia!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a good day.  Here is one of the two birthday boxes I am making this week.   Ngaia's is a new girl on our soccer team.  I don't know her that well, and just decided to make one in turquoise in the hope that she will like it.  I found out her favorite color is turquoise, so I guessed pretty good.  I am giving it to her tommorrow so I will find out then if she likes it or not.  I hope you do, I love how it turned out.
