Have a Magical day!-Birthday card

Good day everyone! I have the cutest custom design Birthday card to share with you! The adorable little girl who recieved this card loves the color pink, unicorns, and sparkles; so that's what I made for her! I hope she liked it!

The background and the card base are on Neenah Classic Crest solor white cardstock. I cut out some hills with post it notes and used them for masks to blend some Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress inks for the sky and then some Stampin Up Green Galore ink for the hills and grass. I thought the Lawn Fawn Spring Showers die set would go well with the background so I cut the sun out of some yellow cardstock and the clouds from some white scraps. I inked the edges on them to add a little extra color, and added some Wink of Stella to the sun.

I used the "Be a Unicorn" stamp set from Avery Elle for the unicorn and the sentiment. Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink and my Misti were used for the stamping. The unicorn was stamped on Strathmore watercolor paper and I used some old watercolor paints (that I am trying to use up so that I can get me some really nice ones) to paint a bright pink mane on that cute little unicorn. My paint brushes are from the Silver Brush company the black velvet line in sizes 2 and 6. I added some stickles to the horn for an added touch of sparkle.

The outside edge of the card base was distressed with Picked Raspberry distress ink to match the unicorn. I adhered the panel to the base with my ATG gun, popped up the Unicorn, sun and clouds with some foam adhesive, added a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for the final touches and there you have a super cute card for a super cute little girl!

Thank you for visiting me today, hope you have a wonderful day! Happy Crafting!

January Card Swap-"Sprinkled with Fun!"

Good day to you all, I have a card to share with you today. I am meeting with my card swap group on Wed. and our theme for the month of January was Birthday cards.  I love it because my Birthday is in January on the 19th to be exact.

I made my card with my new Christmas present a Cricut Explore Air! I am still learning all the tricks to it, but it has been fun so far.

This picture shows both the outside and inside of my cards. I don't normally put anything on the inside so that the ladies I swap with can put what they want inside when they give it to someone. But the outside doesn't actually say "Happy Birthday" so I wanted to put it inside.

I used the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge for the sentiment and the cupcake is from the
Once Upon a Princess cartridge.   I used Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks for all of the shading on my paper.   The background is from a We R Memory Keepers Chevron Embossing folder that I used in my Cuttlebug.  I used my ATG Gun and the Tombow Mono Multi Glue for adhesive except for the cupcake which is popped up with some Mounting Foam.  I used Multi Medium Matte to adhere the sequins that came from Pretty Pink Posh.  To add some shimmer I used the Clear Wink of Stella brush pen on the words and cupcake. I also used some Diamond Stickles on the cupcake sprinkles.

Here are some close-ups of the front of my card and the inside sentiment.

Thank you so much for taking a look at my work. I hope you like it and that it inspires you to create some fun Birthday cards to share also.

Happy Crafting!

Bloom where you are planted

Hello my friends, today I am sharing a grouping of cards that I made for the SSS Monday Challenge-Pastels and I am also going to use these cards for my card swap group for the month of April.

Now I started out pretty good with the pastels and then it ended up going a little brighter for some of the colors, but I still feel that it looks like spring.  I had fun playing with a stencil and inks; and layering up some Cricut cuts to give more dimension and of course I had to add some sequins for that extra touch!

Card Swap cards for January 2015-also an entry into the SSS Monday Challenge blog

Happy January everyone. I have been terrible with my blog but I am going to do better this year!
To start I am posting what I made for my card swap group. Our theme was birthday this month. I used a technique that I have learned from Kristina Werner (who is amazing)!
I am also submitting this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge over at there blog. The challenge was an inky background. Because of the technique each card turned out a little different so I am sharing pics from each card, so there's a lot of pics on this post sorry. Here is what I created:

Supplies:
Bazzill black licorice cardstock for the base
watercolor paper
Distress inks: peacock feathers, picked raspberry and mustard seed
Craft sheet
Stampin' Up "Bring on the Cake" stamp set
Versamark ink pad
Black embossing powder from Stampendous
Heat Gun by Darice
DCWV Gemstones
Sequins
Black Stickles
White gel pen
Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush pen

Thanks for taking a look at my project!

Thank you for stopping by, taking a peek, and leaving a comment or two!
