Leslee's Birthday Bag

Good Morning everyone, today I wanted to share with you a cute little bag that I filled with just a few fun goodies like some crafty embellishments, gum, body spray, etc.. for a friend of mine. We recently went to lunch together to celebrate both of our Birthdays, and I surprised her with this little bag!

The bag came from a pad by Colorbok called Create A Box. It has a bunch of pre-cut and scored bags and boxes.  I used some Ranger Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to blend in and soften the edges of the box and then I embellished the bag with a stamp and die set from Sizzix & Lori Whitlock. I used my MISTI to stamp the images in Versamark, applied white embossing powder from Stampendous, then heat set with my heat gun from Darice. I used some watercolors to paint my images. I cut out the images with the coordinating dies using my Cuttlebug. To finish it off I applied some Crystal Clear & Marshmallow Sequins from PPP using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and then tied a bow at the top to give it that extra touch.

I tried to give links to most of my supplies, a lot of them are linked to the manufacturer but you can also buy most of them from Simon Says Stamp or Amazon.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you have a fun and crafty day!

Birthday Card Set

Hello everyone, today I am sharing a project I made for my Card swap group. This month's theme is Birthday.  We were supposed to make a card and tag for this. We also started to use sketches each month to change things up a bit.
I don't know about you guys but I like to coordinate things together. So I ended up making my tag to match my card and I went ahead and made a matching envelope also.  I love the colors and had a great time creating this set, I hope you like it too!

Supplies:
Stamp & die set from Sizzix-Lori Whitlock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink and marker
I used my MISTI for all of my stamping
I stamped the sentiment for the card using Versamark and then heat embossed it using Stampendous Marcasite embossing powder.
My Cuttlebug was used for all the die cutting
SU 2 3/8 scallop punch and also the 1 1/4 scallop punch
I colored in the images with EK Success colored pencils
I used my ATG to adhere everything except I used the 3M Mounting Foam tape on the party hat and the small scallop circle on the tag.
I used the Zig two way glue pen to add some Crystal Art Glitter to the hat for an added bit of sparkle.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope I helped inspire you in some way.
Happy Crafting!

Tombstone Treat Boxes!

I have some fun Tombstone Boxes to share with you today that are perfect for some yummy little treats, or just decoration!

For this first one the box, skull and name came from the Happy Hauntings Cartridge.
I used Memento Grape Jelly to shade around the name, Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink for shading around the skull and Black Soot Distress Ink to shade the tombstone.  I popped up the skull with some foam adhesive and used a white gel pen for the definition around the tombstone.

This box was also cut with the Happy Hauntings cartridge. I used some Memento Grape Jelly Ink for the shading. I stamped the sentiment and spiders in Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with some black embossing powder from Stampendous.  The stamp sets used were Perfect Fit-Halloween from Close to My Heart and the spider came from the My Pink Stamper Spookalicious stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by today, happy crafting!

Happy Birthday Janae!

My oldest daughter's friend just had her 16th Birthday a couple of days ago, so we made a fun Gift Card holder with her favorite colors. Inside we got her a gift card to the movie theater so she can join us next time we go!

I just love making things like this for people I know and love. Her reaction was so fun, and I think her mom's reaction was even better!  We just need to decide what movie we want to go and see.

World's Best Teacher!

Hello all, today I am sharing with you this fun home decor piece that I made for my daughter's 4th grade teacher. I love getting to know the teacher's and I ask them about their favorite color, hobbies, when their Birthday is, etc. That helps me in making fun gifts for them throughout the year.

This teacher's favorite color is hunter green so I chose a dark green to be the base for this project and it worked out so perfect because it made it look like a chalkboard. I really love how it turned out and she absolutely loved it and couldn't wait to hang it up in her classroom.

Here are the supplies I used:
Locker Talk, Doodlecharms, & Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridges
Some of the paper is from DCWV & Fancy Pants Designs
All the rest of the paper is scraps from my stash
"Hey Teacher" 3x4 stamp set from Simon Says Stamp
Versamark ink, Tea Dye Distress ink and Memento Rich Cocoa ink
Blending tool from Ranger
White Embossing Powder from Stampedous
Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen
Tombow Mono Multi Glue
Mounting Foam

Card Swap cards for January 2015-also an entry into the SSS Monday Challenge blog

Happy January everyone. I have been terrible with my blog but I am going to do better this year!
To start I am posting what I made for my card swap group. Our theme was birthday this month. I used a technique that I have learned from Kristina Werner (who is amazing)!
I am also submitting this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge over at there blog. The challenge was an inky background. Because of the technique each card turned out a little different so I am sharing pics from each card, so there's a lot of pics on this post sorry. Here is what I created:

Supplies:
Bazzill black licorice cardstock for the base
watercolor paper
Distress inks: peacock feathers, picked raspberry and mustard seed
Craft sheet
Stampin' Up "Bring on the Cake" stamp set
Versamark ink pad
Black embossing powder from Stampendous
Heat Gun by Darice
DCWV Gemstones
Sequins
Black Stickles
White gel pen
Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush pen

Thanks for taking a look at my project!
